Good Morning Good Morning

Nothing to do to save his life Call his wife in Nothing to say but what a day How's your boy been? Nothing to do it's up to you I've got nothing to say, but its okay Good morning, good morning Going to work Don't want to go feeling low down Heading for home you start to roam Then you're in town Everybody knows there's nothing doing Everything is closed it's like a ruin Everyone you see is half asleep And you're on your own You're in the street Good morning, good morning After a while you start to smile Now ya feel cool Then you decide to take a walk By the old school Nothing has changed it's still the same I've got nothing to say, but it's okay Good morning, good morning People running around it's five o'clock Everywhere in town it's getting dark Everyone you see is full of life It's time for tea and meet the wife Somebody needs to know the time Glad that I'm here Watching the skirts you start to flirt Now you're in gear Go to the show you hope she goes I've got nothing to say, but it's okay Good morning, good morning

A DAY IN THE LIFE

I read the news today, oh boy, About a lucky man who made a grade, And though the news was rather sad, Well, I just had to laugh. I saw the photograph. He blew his mind out in a car, He didn't notice that the lights have changed, A crowd of people stood and stared, They've seen his face before, Nobody was really sure if he was from the House of Lords. I saw a film today, oh boy, The English army had just won the war, A crowd of people turned away, But I just had a look, Having read a book, I'd like to turn you on... Woke up, fell out of bed, dragged a comb across my head, found my way downstairs and drank a cup, and looking up I noticed I was late. Found my coat and grabbed my hat, made the bus in seconds flat, Found my way upstairs and had a smoke, and somebody spoke and I went into a dream. I heard a news today, oh boy, four thousand holes in Blackburn Lancashire, and though the holes were rather small, they had to count them all, now they know how many holes it takes to fill the Albert Hall, I'd love to turn you on.
